Zhipu, MiniMax both fall over 3%; leaders of two countries say AI cooperation should be strengthened

   Zhipu (02513) H-shares are down 3.3%, trading at HK$617.50, with approximately 330,000 shares traded, involving HK$205 million; MiniMax (00100) fell 3.2%, trading at HK$270.20.

  Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan attended a state banquet hosted by U.S. President Trump and his wife Melania at the White House. Trump invited several tech and financial industry leaders to the banquet, including Tesla (US.TSLA) CEO Musk, Amazon (US.AMZN) founder Bezos, Google (US.GOOG) CEO Pichai, and Nvidia (US.NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang, highlighting the focus on AI issues during this meeting. Trump stated that China and the U.S. should maintain dialogue and strengthen cooperation on AI, while Xi Jinping said that although there is competition in artificial intelligence, there can also be cooperation.

  AI stocks followed the broader market under pressure; Biren Technology (06082) fell 5.4%, trading at HK$37.20; TianShu Zhixin (09903) dropped 5.2%, trading at HK$121.00; Tencent (00700) declined 1.2%, trading at HK$433.20; Alibaba (09988) fell 3%, trading at HK$106.70; Baidu (09888) dropped 1.9%, trading at HK$84.70; SenseTime (00020) fell 5%, trading at HK$1.235.

  Currently, the Hang Seng Index stands at 24,353, down 407 points or 1.6%, with main board turnover nearing HK$30.5 billion. The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index is at 8,120, down 145 points or 1.8%. The Hang Seng Tech Index is at 4,260, down 100 points or 2.3%.
